The Beginning
Apostolic Voice Education Trust (AVET) was founded out of a deep conviction: that every African child and young adult deserves access to Christ-centered education, leadership development, and life-transforming opportunities. Since its inception in 2019, AVET has been committed to breaking cycles of poverty, empowering communities, and raising Kingdom-minded leaders who impact their families, churches, and nations.
Founded by Bro Gift Matinanga in Lusaka, Zambia, AVET began as a vision to provide holistic education that nurtures both the mind and the spirit. From humble beginnings, this vision has grown into a registered nonprofit organization officially recognized in 2025, with programs reaching communities across Zambia and beyond.
The Challenge in Our Communities
In many African communities, education alone is not enough to transform lives. Many young people face challenges such as limited access to quality schooling, lack of leadership opportunities, and a disconnect from spiritual guidance. Poverty, social inequality, and under-resourced schools often leave students unprepared to step into roles of influence or contribute meaningfully to their communities.
AVET recognized that addressing these challenges required more than conventional education — it required a Christ-centered approach that equips the next generation to lead, serve, and transform society.

From Vision to Movement

From a small initiative in Lusaka, we have expanded into a multi-faceted educational trust with both national and international reach. Today, AVET operates programs that touch the lives of students, families, and entire communities, providing access to opportunities that were once out of reach.
Our formal registration as a nonprofit organization in Zambia, recognition by PACRA, and structured board governance reflect our commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence. Every program, partnership, and initiative is carefully designed to advance our mission while upholding the highest standards of integrity.
Apostolic Voice University (AVU)
Under AVET, Apostolic Voice University (AVU) was established to provide Christ-centered higher education, leadership training, and online courses accessible across Africa. AVU empowers young leaders with the skills, knowledge, and spiritual foundation to impact their communities, churches, and nations. Through AVU, students gain not only academic knowledge but also the tools to become transformational leaders grounded in faith and purpose.
